Where and when does check-in take place?
Check-in takes place right at the Hotel Orion reception at Americká 9, Prague 2 — Vinohrady. Check-in is from 14:00. We always do our best to have your apartment ready as early as possible, so that we can accommodate you even before that time. The reception is open around the clock, 24 hours a day, so you can also arrive in the evening or at night.
By what time is check-out?
Check-out is until 11:00. If you need a later departure, please ask at reception — depending on the occupancy on the day, we will be happy to accommodate you. The reception is open 24 hours a day, so we can arrange your departure early in the morning or at night as well.
Is breakfast included in the stay?
Yes, for Hotel Orion guests the homemade breakfast is included in the stay. We serve it as a buffet at Klub Orion inside the hotel — with homemade jams and cakes, homemade cookies baked by our Marina, Třicátník bread from the Kabát bakery and cured meats from Křeček. Guests of our sister house Sibelius Apartments are welcome for breakfast too. The price of breakfast for Sibelius Apartments guests is €12 / CZK 300 per person.
What time is breakfast served?
We serve our homemade breakfast at Klub Orion inside the hotel — from 7:30 to 10:00 on weekdays and from 7:30 to 10:30 at weekends and on public holidays. Leaving earlier? We will have a packed breakfast ready for you at reception, just let us know the day before.
Do you offer a gluten-free or other dietary breakfast option?
If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. We are happy to prepare a gluten-free, lactose-free or vegan breakfast option by prior arrangement.
Do you have a sauna?
Yes, there is a private Finnish sauna in the building. You book it at reception for yourselves alone — for your couple or your family — and never share it with other guests. The private sauna is not included in the room rate — you arrange the booking and the fee at reception. Guests of Sibelius Apartments have access to the sauna too.
Do you offer parking?
We arrange parking near the hotel on request. Please contact reception in advance and we will be happy to advise on the options.
Are pets welcome?
Yes, we are pet friendly with no size limit. The fee is €10 for a small dog and €15 for a large dog per night — simply add your pet’s stay when booking.
Can I add an extra bed or a cot?
Yes. You add both an extra bed and a baby cot directly when booking your apartment — the baby cot is free of charge, the extra bed is €30 / CZK 750 per night.
Do you provide laundry and ironing?
Yes, we provide standard laundry and ironing services at the hotel. By prior arrangement, guests can also use the washing machine in the basement free of charge. We are happy to lend you a clothes airer, an iron and an ironing board on request.
For long stays, can a washing machine be placed directly in the apartment?
For long stays we can arrange, by prior agreement, for a washing machine to be placed directly in your apartment. If you are interested in this service, please contact us before booking.
Where can I store my bicycle safely?
You can lock your bikes in the courtyard of Hotel Orion. Just let reception know and we will be happy to show you where.
Where can I buy public-transport tickets?
Prague public-transport tickets are on sale right at our reception — Náměstí Míru metro is a 5-minute walk and the tram is even closer.
What types of apartment do you offer?
We offer 26 apartments plus the Sibelius depandance — from cosy attic studios to spacious family apartments. The rooftop apartment (42 m²) with a private terrace (50 m²) and views over Prague is one of a kind.
Do the apartments have air conditioning?
Air conditioning is available only in the apartments on the top, attic floor and is always stated directly with the particular apartment. The other apartments are equipped with fans.
Is Hotel Orion suitable for families?
Yes, thanks to its spacious apartments Hotel Orion is well suited to family stays. The family apartments have separate bedrooms, their own kitchen and plenty of space. With its quiet location in Vinohrady and good connections to the centre, the hotel is a comfortable choice for families with children.
Do you offer longer stays and company invoicing?
Yes. For longer and corporate stays we prepare a tailored offer and issue a company invoice. Contact us directly and we will get back to you with terms.
Are discount vouchers prepared for guests?
Yes. Right in your apartment we have discount vouchers ready for selected restaurants and bars nearby — a small invitation to explore Vinohrady.
Is Hotel Orion suitable for guests with reduced mobility?
Hotel Orion has step-free access to the hotel and to Klub Orion, where breakfast is served. There is a lift in the building with an entrance width of 80 cm. The apartments on the top, attic floor are accessible by stairs only; the Family Apartment Vinohrady is on the ground floor. As we are located in a historic building, we recommend that guests with reduced mobility contact us before booking. We will be happy to check availability for you and to recommend the most suitable apartment for your needs.
Is Wi-Fi free?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.
